Bomber is a PBGV as they are affectionately called.

The Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen is a wire-haired scent hound
developed to hunt small game in the rugged, difficult terrain of the
Vendeen region of France.  He is not a native of the United States.
The PBGV's devil-may-care appearance and rollicking good nature
have won the hearts of many.
